Crum joins HU coaching staff

Huntington University has announced that Denny Crum will join the Forester coaching staff as head coach of the volleyball program.

Coach Crum has been involved in coaching volleyball for several years with his two most recent positions being the head varsity coach at Western High School and Oak Hill High School. In his four seasons at Oak Hill, he compiled a record of 92-49. He coached back-to-back 28-8 seasons, the second best record in Golden Eagle history. During his one year at Western, he recorded as many wins as the three prior years combined with a 14-19 record.

Coach Crum is the founder and co-director of the Central Indiana Volleyball Club. His involvement in volleyball over the past 15 years has given him numerous connections within the sport which will provide him with viable sources for recruiting student-athletes to HU.

Crum graduated with a BS in Political Science from Ball State University in 1981. He also earned his MS in English at Indiana University in 1992. Currently Coach Crum is an Instructor of English Composition at Ivy Tech State College in Kokomo, Indiana. He and his wife, Gretchen, along with their two children, Jared and Claire, reside in Galveston, Ind.
