Coach Green named MCC Coach of the Year

Huntington, Ind. - Just days after the Forester golf team mounted an impressive come-from-behind win to capture the MCC conference title and earn an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championships for the second time in three years, HU head coach Mark Green was named the 2011 MCC Coach of the Year as selected by the league’s coaches.

Green led his Foresters to a 76-15 record this season, boosting his career record to 315-135-4. During his five years at the helm, he has been named MCC Coach of the Year on three different occasions.
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 14 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 53 NAIA All-America honors and 173 All-America Scholar Athlete honors. Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations. U.S.News & World Report ranks Huntington among the best colleges in the Midwest.
