Blinco commits to HU

Huntington, Ind. - The Huntington University men's tennis team has added its first recruit for the 2011-12 year with the signing of Westview High School standout Steve Blinco.

As a four-time All-Conference and Media All-Area player for the Warriors, Blinco amassed a career record of 71-20. As a freshman, he helped lead the team to their first regional title in school history. Playing at the No. 1 singles' spot for the last two seasons, he earned team MVP honors both years.

Blinco has also established himself as a stellar student boasting a 3.6 GPA and serving as a member of the National Honor Society. He plans to study economics and finance at HU. He is the son of Ken and Pat Blinco of Shipshewana, Indiana.
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 14 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 53 NAIA All-America honors and 173 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
