Holiday spirit abounds at HU’s December Foundation Breakfast

HUNTINGTON, Ind. — The Huntington University Foundation is decking the halls with Christmas music for its monthly breakfast series event on Dec. 11.

Eleven singers from the HU music department will be performing heartfelt renditions of the holiday classics such as “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “Sisters,” “Carol of the Bells” and “O Holy Night.”

The producers for this year’s event are junior Ja’Shon Burks of Indianapolis and sophomore Preston Shafer of Huntington, Ind.

Come and enjoy this festive occasion and sit back and listen to the sweet sounds of Huntington’s own “Foundation Christmas Singers.”

The Foundation Breakfast is open to the public. It will begin at 7:45 a.m. in the Habecker Dining Commons at Huntington University and conclude by 9 a.m. The cost of the breakfast is $7. First-time attendees eat free courtesy of Bailey-Love Mortuary.

Since 1938, the Huntington University Foundation has assisted Huntington County residents who attend Huntington University through the annual Huntington County Grant and endowed scholarships. The Foundation also supports community arts events. The Foundation is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, and for this special occasion, is raising $75,000 to support student scholarships and grants.
