HUTC presents ‘Shakespeare and Songs’ in Studio Theatre

"Shakespeare and Songs" at Huntington UniversityHUNTINGTON, Ind. – Looking for some end of the semester entertainment? The Elizabethan Acting class and Introduction to Musical Theatre Techniques combine their end-of-the-year projects for an exciting evening of verse and chorus in "Shakespeare and Songs." Nothing goes better with famous scenes by the Bard than some of Broadway’s favorites from the musical theater genre.

Each evening performance will present a different collection of scenes and songs. The shows will begin at 7:30 p.m. April 29 and April 30. “Shakespeare and Songs” will be presented in the Merillat Centre for the Arts Studio Theatre. Each show will last approximately one hour.

Tickets cost $3 for general admission to attend one evening performance and $5 to attend both evening performances. For reservations, call the Merillat Centre for the Arts Box Office at 260-359-4261 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Tickets also will be sold at the door before every performance. Tickets are now on sale.
