“We at Huntington University are eager to serve more communities throughout northeast Indiana. We are committed to offering students a rigorous, high-quality Christ-centered educational experience specifically designed for the needs of adult learners,” said Dr. G. Blair Dowden, president of Huntington University. “Now, in partnership with our friends at Ivy Tech, this educational facility will provide even greater strategic economic advantages to the entire county.”

This spring, Ivy Tech will begin offering daytime classes Monday through Friday in the newly renovated space while Huntington continues to offer its EXCEL programs in the evenings.

“The partnership with Huntington University allows Ivy Tech Community College to expand our course offerings in community locations that will serve more residents of northeast Indiana and help us further our mission of changing lives and making Indiana great,” said Ivy Tech Chancellor Dr. Jerrilee Mosier.

Remodeling at the site has provided for upgraded technology as well as more comfort for students taking classes in Columbia City. Through the partnership, Ivy Tech has supplied the location with new computer and media equipment, including three SMART boards. New furniture, walls, paint and wiring were also added to the building as well as a new outdoor sign.
