Denver & the Mile High Orchestra

Huntington, Ind.— Back by popular demand, Denver & the Mile High Orchestra will perform at Huntington College Tuesday, February 10, 2004. The concert will be held in Zurcher Auditorium of the Merillat Centre for the Arts at 7:30 p.m. This will be the band’s second visit in as many years, the first of which proved to be a hit.

D&MHO offers a unique blend of big band, swing and uplifting God-centered lyrics with their 12-15 musicians. Their debut music video “Act the Scat” spent five weeks in Christian Music Video Magazine’s top ten in the nation. The band appeared in prime time alongside other Christian artists like Crystal Lewis and Third Day at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah, and has already been booked to play for the 2004 Summer Olympics in Greece.

The leader, Denver Bierman, grew up in Indianapolis, Ind., and later formed his band in Nashville, Tenn., at Belmont University in the mid 90’s. The band recently released their sophomore album “Stand.”
