Anderson named senior associate editor at Journal of Strength & Conditioning Research

HUNTINGTON, Ind. — Dr. Dawn Anderson, professor of exercise science at Huntington University, has been named a senior associate editor at the Journal of Strength & Conditioning Research.

Anderson has been on the editorial board of the journal since 2011. In the fall, she was nominated for the senior associate editor position by the Editor in Chief Bill Kraemer.

“In my role as one of the senior associate editors, I receive manuscripts that are submitted to the journal, select and invite professionals to serve as reviewers for the manuscripts, oversee manuscript revisions and ensure that reviews are done in a timely and fair manner,” Anderson said.

Anderson joined the HU faculty in 2013. She received her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Minnesota-Morris, her master’s degree in exercise physiology from Iowa State University and her PhD in human bioenergetics from Ball State University. She is a scientific adviser on the International Society of Sports Nutrition Advisory Board and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist.
