Huntington, Ind.—Huntington College has again been listed in the top tier of Midwestern liberal arts colleges by US News and World Report. The magazine's newest guide to "America’s Best Colleges" marks the fifth consecutive year that Huntington College has been ranked among the best in its class.

US News first organizes colleges and universities by category, then ranks schools within each group. Rankings are based on a wide range of criteria, including academic reputation, graduation and retention rates, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources and alumni giving.

All the US News rankings will appear on the magazine’s web site (http://www.usnews.com) on Friday, August 20. College-bound students can use the site to search for schools according to their own interests, fill out interactive worksheets, and search for scholarship and financial aid information.

College rankings will be published in the weekly news magazine on Monday, August 23, as well as in the annual "America's Best Colleges" guidebook, available in libraries and bookstores.

Huntington College is a four-year, co-educational Christian liberal arts college. Founded in 1897 by the Church of the United Brethren in Christ, Huntington College seeks to "educate men and women to impact our world for Christ." Located on a contemporary, lakeside campus in Huntington, Indiana, Huntington College offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in nearly 50 academic concentrations.

Other highly ranked Indiana liberal arts colleges in this year’s US News report include St. Mary’s College and Taylor University. Prior to this year’s report, US News ranked Huntington College among the midwest’s top liberal arts colleges in 1999, 1998, 1997, 1996, and 1994.
