Huntington, Ind.— Huntington College’s RichLyn Library will host Jim O'Donnell, associate professor of business and executive-in-residence at Huntington College, at its fall Focus on Excellence colloquium. The colloquium will be held in the Johnson Conference Room of the RichLyn Library on November 4, at 8 p.m. O'Donnell will present a review of his book, Letters for Lizzie, and then discuss the many issues involved in the book's writing and publishing phases. The public is cordially invited to attend. Admission is free of charge.

Upon coming to Huntington in 1994, Jim’s wife, Lizzie, was stricken with life-threatening illness. As a family, they have struggled with cancer, heart failure, kidney failure and other chronic problems, all while keeping faith and sharing their hope with others. Letters for Lizzie, a book about O’Donnell’s experiences of caring for his wife, was published in the spring of 2004.

A former Executive Vice President of Fidelity Investments in Boston, O’Donnell now integrates Christian faith, ethics and values into the realm of business through his teachings. He received his undergraduate degree from Brown University and his MBA from Columbia University. He is a certified public accountant and spent several years as an executive in the financial services industry.
