Public Access and Research Computers
The computers on the Main Level in the Reference Area are mainly for public access and library research. The six computers on the tall tables are open to the general public and do not require a login. Huntington Community Residents are welcome to use the computers for one hour per day. Community Residents who wish longer access to the computers must purchase a Resident Patron card at the Circulation Desk. The eight desk computers on the main level are available only to Huntington University students and personnel. You must be registered with Technology Services and have a campus ID and password to access these computers
Printing
Printing is free for students and 5¢ a page for Resident Patrons and Campus Guests. Color printing and Color transparencies may be printed from any computer in the building. Please contact the Circulation Desk before attempting to print in color. Color printing is 25¢ for HU students and personnel and $1.00 for Resident Patrons. Color transparencies are $1.00 for HU students and personnel and $1.75 for Resident Patrons.
Scanning
A scanner, located near the information desk, is provided for HU students and personnel.
Computer Lab
On the main level at the north end is a Computer Lab provided by Technology Services with six computers providing the full range of campus software and access to Huntington University students and personnel. A telephone is provided in the room so questions of a technical nature regarding computer software and hardware can be directed to Technology Services. There is a b&w printer available in the room.
Laptops and Wireless
Wireless access is available throughout the building provided you have an HU username and password. Campus Guests should contact Technology Services if they wish to use their laptops on the wireless networks.
Laptops for use by HU students and personnel are available for checkout at the circulation desk.
Photocopying
A photocopy machine is located on the main level next to the elevator. Photocopies are 10¢ a page. Copy cards costing $2.50 and $5.00 are available for purchase at the Circulation Desk.
Faxing
Library patrons may send and receive faxes from the library office. Faxing charges are $1.00 per page to send and 50¢ per page to receive. Please see the Library Secretary if you would like to send or receive a fax.
Microfilm/fiche Reader/Printers
The Microform Collection is located on the Main Level in the northwest corner next to the Government Documents collection. Several readers are located in this area and one reader/printer is available. Copies may be printed for 10¢ a page. A reader/printer with scanning and electronic transmission capabilities is located in the United Brethren Historical Center. Please contact the Historical Center Director to use this machine.
Services to Patrons With Disabilities
RichLyn Library is committed to equal access for patrons with disabilities. We provide the following services:
- A MagniSight reader for enlarging book and document text. Located in the Microform Area.
- A Large Screen TV monitor is connected to one of the public access computers.
- All restrooms are handicapped accessible.
- Elevator access to all levels.
- Library orientation and individualized instruction is also available. To schedule an appointment contact the Library Secretary at 359-4060.
