Josh Kesler enters his fourth year as an assistant coach under head coach Russ Lawson. Kesler’s main responsibility is developing the positional players with specific focus on defenders.
During Kesler’s years as an undergraduate at Huntington College, he excelled on the soccer field as well as the stage, having graduated in 1993 with a BA in Theater. He went on to earn his MA in Pastoral Ministry from Huntington in 2004.
Kesler brings a wealth of coaching experience to the program. In addition to seven years of various coaching positions at the high school level, he is a familiar face on campus. He served as the Forester women’s soccer coach in the program’s inaugural season in 1997 and then took over the reins of the men’s program for two years. He also spent two additional years as an assistant for the men’s team under former head coach Steve DeCou.
Currently serving as the pastor of The Well, Kesler resides in Huntington with his wife Molly (HU Class of ’93) and daughters Lily (14) and Maisy (11).
