Jennifer Carrell

Head Cheerleading Coach

Jennifer Carrell enters her third year as the head cheer coach at HU. After a successful cheerleading career at Huntington North High School where she was a member of the 2003 state stunt group championship team and selected to the Viking Wall of Fame, Carrell has continued to impact the local community through her sport as a coach.

Carrell served two years in the Huntington County Community Schools, one year as the head cheer coach at Crestview Middle School and another year as the junior varsity cheer coach at her alumna mater, Huntington North. She spent three years as a level 1-5 all-star cheer and tumble coach at Total Cheer Academy where she took her level 5 squad to Worlds in Orlando, Fla. Carrell has also logged three years at More Than Gymnastics as a cheer and tumbling coach.

"Jennifer is a welcomed addition to our staff,” commented Culler  “She brings a broad range of cheering and coaching experience to our program.  She is looking forward to working with collegiate athletes and she will be a tremendous mentor for them.  We look forward to Jennifer's leadership and continued development of the program.”

In Carrell’s free time, she devotes her energies to helping others grow in their faith. She has a passion for serving youth in this community and leads the 6th-9th grade youth at The Awakening Community Church. She also enjoys leading small groups that have included being a small group leader for the high school cheerleaders and leading various small groups through her church.

After earning an AS in Human Services at Ivy Tech Community College in 2009, Carrell went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from Indiana Tech with a BS in Human Service Management in 2010. She is currently serving as a Qualified Developmental Disability Profession-Case Coordinator (QDDP-CC) for Pathfinder Services. She and her husband Justin live in Huntington, Indiana.
