Mike Shockey

Assistant Bowling Coach

Mike Shockey is serving his first year as an HU assistant bowling coach. His main responsibilities include working with players to improve their skills and expand on their experience in addition to helping create a cohesive team unit that will work together to achieve success.

Shockey brings over a decade of coaching and bowling experience to the position. In addition to giving individual lessons, the Fort Wayne native was a PBA member and competed in the PBA regional tour. He has also been on the regional/recon ball staff for Ebonite and Motiv Bowling.

Shockey earned his AS in Bowling Lanes Management from Vincennes University in 1997. As a member of the Blazer bowling team, he was the Collegiate Masters champion and the NJCAA team, singles and All-Events champion. He also racked numerous other honors including the IBC Linds award and a handful of All-Tournament Team honors.

A dispatcher for Frontier Communications, Shockey resides in Fort Wayne with his wife Heather and kids Caitlin and Kendall.
