Jamie Hotchkiss is back for his third year as an assistant coach this season. Hotchkiss aids Coach Platt in daily practices as well as build relationships with players.
No stranger to the area, Hotchkiss not only spent his playing days in Huntington but has continued to impact the local community through his involvement with athletics. He spent eight years as an assistant coach for the HU volleyball team and most recently served as an assistant for the Huntington North volleyball program. He has also spent the last 16 years officiating basketball.
After a successful career as a Huntington North Viking, Hotchkiss took his talent across town where he graduated from Huntington College in 1996 with a BS in Elementary Education.
After a relatively quiet rookie season, Hotchkiss had a break-out sophomore season where he established a reputation for dominating the paint by swatting an average of 3.4 shots per night. He finished his career with 282 blocked shots and was 58 points shy of joining the 1,000 point club. He also pulled down 418 rebounds in a Forester uniform.
Hotchkiss is an Indiana state trooper. He, his wife Jennifer (HU Class of ’95) and children William (10) and Wesley (7) reside in Huntington.
