Farm Credit Mid-America's Visiting Instructor in Welding
Joined the Huntington University faculty in 2024.
Allen Karst got started with welding and fabrication through high school trades classes and began his career in a work-based learning platform. He went on to earn an Associate of Applied Science degree with a main focus in industrial technology and welding. Since the work-based learning platform, he has created product in many welding industries, such as heat treatment and metallurgy, agriculture equipment, recreation, and general fabrication.
Allen began teaching skilled trades and assisting in creating training programs for local companies in 2017. Since then he has taught American Welding Society standards for multiple education and training entities, including Workforce Alignment, Ivy Tech Community College, Huntington County Community School Corporation, and Huntington University.
