Step 3.2 - Receive and Review Your Financial Aid Offer

Financial Offer

Upon review of the scholarships and grants you qualify for, our Financial Aid Office will create your Financial Aid Offer. In this offer, you will find an estimated cost for your academic year. Take time to review your Financial Aid Offer, and contact the Financial Aid Office with any questions.

Call: (260) 359-4326 or Email: finaid@huntington.edu

Step 3.3 - Send Proof of Funds

Proof of Funds
At the beginning of each semester, you are required to pay what you owe in full for the semester. Knowing this, we require proof of funding from you to determine if you can financially cover the cost of attending HU.

It can be multiple outlets, but the point is to demonstrate your ability to pay the tuition cost. This can be done by emailing us your bank statement, which needs to be from within the past six months, certifying the amount in the account is enough to cover tuition and living costs for the year.

Step 4: Make Your Deposit!

To commit to Huntington University, you need to pay the $2500 deposit fee. This fee secures your spot, and $2300 will go toward your tuition fees for the year, and $200 will go to your student deposit. When submitting your deposit, you will need your student ID. This can be found on your financial offer, or by contacting Internationaladmissions@huntington.edu.

With your deposit, you will receive the credentials for your Huntington email and login in an email from our IT department (Please check your spam and junk box in your email.) This will allow you to access your Huntington and Moodle accounts for your classes. If you have not received this within a week after your deposit, please contact helpdesk@huntington.edu to request your credentials.

Please make sure to use one of the two options below:

This is a two-part step that will enable you to live as an international student at Huntington University.

Step 5.1 - Fill out the I-20 Information Form

Step 5.2 - Start Your F-1 Visa Process

Step 5.1 - Fill out the I-20 Information Form

Add a copy of your passport and a copy of your bank statement to the I-20 form. Remember that the proof of funds needs to be from the past six months showing that the available amount in the account is equal or higher to cover tuition and living costs for the year.

Step 5.2 - Start Your F-1 Visa Process

Since wait times vary greatly and even change weekly, ensure you know the estimated wait time at the U.S. Embassy near you! Here is a link to check the wait times. The following links will help you through the Visa process:

* If you are a transfer student from a US college or university, you do not need to schedule any appointment or go through an interview for a new visa. You must contact the DSO at your current school and request that they release your current SEVIS Record. Keep in mind that you need to be inside the United States to make the transfer of your SEVIS record. If you are outside the US while the transfer is being made, you will need to pay the SEVIS record again.

** When visiting the above websites, be sure to use the information relevant to your home country for a smooth Visa process.

Step 6: Complete HU Forms for Campus Life

This is a multi-part step which involves completing simple Huntington University forms for things like campus housing, student ID, media release, and more. Your Admissions counselor will help you these if you have any questions.

  • Housing Form >
Students living on-campus and commuters are required to complete the housing form. Watch this video to learn more about the housing application process.

  • HU Identity Document Form >
We hope you are looking forward to traveling to the US and Huntington University! In preparation for your arrival at HU, please complete the HU ID Form so we can create a student ID for you. You will use your ID to access the dorms, and meal service, borrow books from the library, and print copies on the copy machines.

  • Parking Fee Waiver >
If you do not plan to have a car on campus this year, please complete the parking fee waiver form to have the $25 parking fee removed from your account this semester.

  • Media Release Form >
We love to take photos, videos, and other media of our students around campus, and we also like to use these items in marketing materials, on our website, or in a variety of other places so that we can get the word out about how cool it is to attend HU!

Step 7: Make Your Travel Arrangements!

All students need to communicate their arrival dates and times with their admissions counselor before and after purchasing their tickets.

If you are an athlete, ask your coach the arrival dates for your team. (Dates will vary depending on the team.)

Huntington University will provide transportation on the first arrival to campus of the student. The closest airports to arrive are Fort Wayne International Airport (30 min from HU), Indianapolis International Airport (2 hours from HU), and the Chicago O'Hare International Airport (3 hours from HU.)

The school only provides furniture for the on-campus students. Bedding, personal items and extra supplies are provided by the students. Please keep this in mind for the moment of arrival.
